Giving is engagement.
We built it that way.

Giving is not back-office. It's how a member stays connected.

The recurring tithe is the most consistent moment
a member has with the church all year.

In most churches, online giving is treated as a back-office concern — a transactional system the bookkeeper interacts with and the donor uses once when they sign up. That framing misses what giving actually is for a member. Tithing is a spiritual practice. Setting up a recurring gift is a commitment. Updating the amount when income changes is a moment of intention. Receiving an end-of-year giving statement that reflects a full year of partnership with the church is a meaningful piece of someone's spiritual life. It deserves to be treated as such, not as a ledger entry.

Donations + Giving on TrueConnect+ is built first for the giver. A member can give in seconds from the in-stream offering during Sunday service, from a QR code on the back of the bulletin, from the church's public profile, or from inside their own member app. They can manage their own recurring gifts, see their full year-to-date and lifetime giving history, download statements on demand, and update payment methods without ever calling the office. The giving relationship belongs to the giver as much as it belongs to the church.

The bookkeeper side is built on the same record — and built to be quiet. Gifts settle directly to the church's bank account on a standard schedule. ACH gifts cost 0.8% capped at $5 — a $5,000 major-donor gift costs $5 in fees instead of the $155 a card transaction would. Year-end giving statements generate automatically and arrive in inboxes before the January 31 deadline without anyone manually pulling a CSV. The bookkeeper's job becomes oversight, not data entry.

Recurring gifts, respected

The tithe that runs on its own. Until the giver wants to change it.

Recurring gifts are the backbone of consistent church giving. A member sets up $200 monthly, picks the date that aligns with their pay schedule, picks the fund (general, missions, building), and the gift runs on its own. When their card expires, the system handles renewal. When their income changes, they can adjust the amount in three taps from their member profile — no “cancel and recreate,” no call to the office.

Members see their giving history as a full record, not a list of transactions: monthly giving over time, lifetime totals, the funds they've given to most often. The giving relationship feels like a partnership because it's visible to both sides.

  • Recurring gifts with member-managed cadence, amount, and fund allocation
  • Automatic payment-method renewal handling
  • Self-service adjustments from the member app — pause, modify, resume
  • Lifetime giving history visible to the member
Year-end giving statements

The January 31 deadline that never causes a January 25 scramble.

Every January, churches around the country scramble to generate giving statements for the IRS deadline. CSV exports, mail-merge templates, three people checking three different reports. By January 28th, the office is on edge. By January 31st, half the statements have been sent and the other half are still in QA.

On TrueConnect+, year-end statements generate automatically the first week of January. Every member receives theirs in the app and via email, formatted to IRS substantiation requirements, with the full year's giving itemized by fund and date. Members can also pull a statement on demand at any point in the year — useful for tax-extension filers, divorce records, or anyone who needs documentation mid-year.

  • Year-end giving statements generated and delivered automatically every January
  • IRS-substantiation formatted, itemized by fund and date
  • On-demand statement pull for any date range the member chooses
  • Delivered in the member app + via email; no postal mail required
ACH economics

$5 in fees on a $5,000 gift. Not $155.

Most church giving platforms treat ACH (bank transfer) the same as card payments — same percentage fee, same per-transaction cost. That math is fine for a $30 gift. It becomes ridiculous for a $5,000 estate gift, a $10,000 building campaign pledge, or a $50,000 legacy gift. The church doesn't see the difference; the bookkeeper just sees a fee that's a fraction of what it should be.

ACH gifts on TrueConnect+ are 0.8% capped at $5 per transaction. That means a $5,000 ACH gift costs $5 in fees instead of the roughly $155 a 3% card-network transaction would cost. Over a year of major-donor giving, that's thousands of dollars staying in the church's mission budget instead of going to processing fees. Encouraging ACH for large gifts isn't a technical thing — it's a stewardship thing.

  • ACH at 0.8% capped at $5 per transaction
  • Card rates passed through at standard Stripe rates with no markup
  • In-app prompt to upgrade major donors to ACH at appropriate gift thresholds
  • All fees transparent to both the giver and the bookkeeper

The giving life cycle, end to end

From the first one-time gift to the lifetime relationship.

Sunday

In-stream giving

Give during the service from your phone in one tap — saved payment method, default fund, confirmation in seconds. The giver isn't pulled out of the service experience to fill out a form; they're participating in the moment.

Reach

Embeddable giving widget

Drop a giving widget into your existing church website with a one-line embed. Origin allowlists keep your CSP clean. Visitors give without being redirected to a third-party page.

Stewardship

Fund accounting

Configure unlimited funds — general, missions, building, benevolence, designated campaigns. Members choose where their gift lands. The bookkeeper sees gifts allocated by fund without manual coding.

Building

Pledge campaigns

Run a capital campaign with a pledge target, individual member commitments, and live fulfillment tracking against the pledge. Members see their pledge balance and can fulfill in installments.

Insight

Donor analytics

Giving trends by member, by ministry, by season, by campaign. First-time-giver flags. Lapsed-giver outreach lists. The data the executive pastor needs to lead, without exporting a CSV.

Settlement

Settle directly to your bank

Funds settle directly into your church's bank account on a standard schedule — we never hold the money. You see settled gifts the same week they were given, not weeks later.

What a year of giving looks like, from both sides.

In January, a member sets up a recurring $300 monthly tithe through her member app — pay-day aligned, general fund, ACH bank-transfer to keep fees low. In April, she gives an additional one-time $1,500 to the missions fund during a special offering — also ACH, also $5 in fees. In September, she takes on a building-campaign pledge of $5,000 over 18 months and starts chipping away at it. In November, she adjusts her recurring gift up to $400 because she got a raise.

In January of the following year, her giving statement arrives in her inbox before she remembers to ask. The statement reflects $4,650 in itemized gifts across three funds, plus her building-pledge progress. She forwards it to her tax preparer.

On the church's side, every gift settled to the bank within a few business days of giving. The bookkeeper's annual giving-statement scramble didn't happen. The executive pastor saw her giving pattern in donor analytics, noticed the November increase, and dropped her a thank-you note from the pastoral care workflow. The treasurer reconciled the year in two hours instead of two weeks.

That's a giving system built for both sides. That's the relationship doing what it's supposed to do.

Giving as engagement. Built that way.
